Stanley “Skip” King

President and CEO

King is an effective and articulate leader with extensive international sales, marketing and M & A experience specializing in effective go-to-market strategies and driving innovative approaches to integrated sales and marketing best practices. Former responsibilities have included global P&L and restructuring efforts, leading merger and acquisition activities including creating organizational buy-in during post integration efforts,  establishing revenue enhancement and sales enablement best practices, implementing pre/post sales support and coverage models and collaborative product design for customers in key market opportunities. King brings a versatile background in leadership having managed businesses in various stages of growth including several pre and post IPO start ups and the Fortune 100 with operations in the US, ASIA-PAC and EMEA.

In 2004, King founded Alchemy Group which provides an integrated approach to managing all aspects of the sales and marketing function. Leveraging 22 years of international business-to-business experience, Alchemy Group helps design and execute organizational restructuring, sales and marketing process optimization, sales enablement best practices, performance management and measurement programs, educations services and interim leadership when required.

Made up of industry practitioners, Alchemy Group provides services to early stage start ups to multinational companies with revenues in excess of $6.0B+. By combining relevant experience with a tightly integrated delivery platform, Alchemy Group serves as a catalyst for quarterly revenue and margin growth for its clients.

In 2006, King established Alchemy Group’s Market Research and Publishing group under the banner of Total Operational and Econmomic Impact or TOEI™ Research. This research and its subsequent publishing efforts are dedicated to serving both suppliers and economic buyers who are committed to understanding the operational and economic impact of IT solutions and the influence those deliverables have on the global IT supply chain. Alchemy Group’s TOEI™ Research practice provides the ecomomic buyer with the candid insight required to evaluate product and service offerings based on the operational and economic benefits they provide to customers specific operating environment. TOEI Research also provides the supplier community with the insight to support economically driven go-to-market strategies and support integrated sales and marketing best practices.

As a frequent speaker and panelist, King is often asked to share his insight on how companies can drive incremental revenues and margins in tough economic times while still meeting the needs of the customer. King advises senior sales and marketing executives on the importance of serving the needs of the economic buyer and to take a broader view of the entire Customer Life Cycle and the positive impact it can have on driving more predictable top line revenues with higher margins.

Roger Carlsen has earned the respect of international sales leaders as a consequence of his 35 years of hiring, training, and motivating sales people for the world’s most recognizable organizations. His tenured experience translates into a genuine understanding of what is required to sustain revenue growth quarter over quarter, and retain sales teams through the use of solid leadership principles.

Carlsen joined Alchemy Group after years of serving in leadership positions at Microsoft, Oracle, Sterling Software, and Prime Computer as well as several successful start ups. His first hand, knowledge of how Revenue Enhancement, Sales Enablement  and Leadership principles have been implemented and received by organizations, make him an invaluable resource for engagements requiring more than an “academic understanding” of what is required to grow and maintain revenues.

Carlsen led Prime Computer and Sterling Software in global sales and exceeded every revenue goal for 9 consecutive years at Oracle. While serving as Microsoft’s Director of Navy- Marine Corps business he grew revenues from $90M to over $160M. Carlsen was also involved in the successful IPO of SeeBeyond where he led their Alliance team, and served as VP of Federal Sales for a private, equity backed technology firm in the UK.

Malacane joined Alchemy Group in 2007 as Practice Director for the Market Research and Publishing practice.
